tales of light paper

Tales of light paper

My absolute favorite photographer was Art Wolfe. His photography left me breathless. His inspiration and effort he put into all his photographs was worth it. I really loved the creativity and thought process he had into all his photos, he is a very powerful photographer. I really loved how he planned out all of his photos and had a precise image in his mind, he also educated himself to the subject that he is photographing. I am also interested in photography in people and their culture and he has showed me what it’s like to photograph that.
My favorite location that he photographed was in Africa to photography tribes. He educated me to the tribes living across the world. He had a lot of powering images like in India photographing them celebrating spring time. He really captured the joy and happiness in throwing the colors in celebration. He takes a lot of good candid photos in their culture and that really showed the true emotion they were feeling in that time. With the tribes, he showed the intensity they each had and their history. Art captured their history and he does that any destination he goes to. In Africa, he captured the tribes history with the lip piercing and the fact that they did that before so they wouldn’t be taken as slaves because they look weird, but now is shown as a sign of power and they should have pride in having a big lip piercing and fitting big objects in it.

I learned from Art is to never settle for less. If you have an image in your mind that create it because it will turn out how you want and you will have satisfaction. He also drew out the pictures that he wanted and I have learned that I can do that too because that’s a really good idea to do when you have a photo in mind. He also surprised me with how powerful an image can be and how much you can use modern technology to get a really powerful photo. I aspire to be a photographer like him,
